A composer/lyricist, drummer and keyboardist, Jason Brower has been making music since elementary school. His love of progressive rock took root at the age of six when he heard Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here. By age eight, he was playing drums and had discovered bands like Yes, ELP & Jethro Tull, instantly galvanized by the emotion and dynamics of the music and its ability to transport the listener to another place...a Prog-head was born! Throughout his younger years, Jason was involved in the concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble and marching band at school, as well as many rock bands and projects recording original material alongside the obligatory cover band circuit. He is a seasoned veteran of the music scene in Westchester and NYC and has performed on such renowned stages as The Apollo Theatre, CBGB's, The Bitter End and The Paramount Theatre.
Jason has toured with sixties pop sensations The Cuff Links (“Tracy”) and has performed with such legends as Vince Martell of Vanilla Fudge (“You Keep Me Hangin’ On”) and Barbara Harris of The Toys (“A Lover’s Concerto”). Cutting his teeth on a steady diet of Classical and Fusion, alongside of Prog, Jason's original work is a hybrid of many styles. He writes for and performs with his original Progressive bands “Ceiling Unlimited” and “Magic Lantern Show;” his original solo project, "Mourning Knight," is another ongoing outlet for his Progressive passion. Jason is very excited to be a new member of the Shadow Circus family and is looking forward to a great future with the band.
